…nein, Hakan Nesser verließ nicht fluchtartig die Bühne, nachdem er sein Honorar bekommen hatte! Vielmehr war dies seine Antwort auf die Frage, was er von der Verfilmung seines Romans ‚Mensch ohne Hund’, der im Sommer ausgestrahlt wird, halte…Verfilmungen scheinen das Thema des Abends gewesen zu sein, denn auch Daniel Depp äußerte sich einige Stunden zuvor ähnlich ablehnend.
Die lit.Cologne geht leider viel zu schnell zu Ende und Nesser, der das erste Mal auf dem Festival ist, bestreitet an diesem Abend die letzte Vorstellung. Begleitet wurde er von seinem gutgelaunten Freund Dietmar Bär (Borussia Dortmund hatte gerade gegen Leverkusen gewonnen), den ich mir übrigens hervorragend als Inspektor Barbarotti vorstellen kann – aber Nesser hat anderes mit ihm vor, dazu später. Moderiert wurde die Veranstaltung von der klug lenkenden und übersetzenden Margarete von Schwarzkopf. Ausverkauft. Wie immer.
Eigentlich wollte Nesser überhaupt keinen Krimi schreiben, als er mit ‚Mensch ohne Hund’anfing. Eine Familiengeschichte sollte es werden, aber irgendwie machte es nach 250 Seiten Klick, er kam nicht weiter: „es klopfte in meinem Kopf an und Barbarotti stand vor der Tür“. Inzwischen gibt es drei Fälle mit dem liebenswürdigen und melancholischen Halbitaliener. Nesser las aus dem neuen Fall auf Schwedisch (ich verstand wirklich nicht ein Wort!), Dietmar Bär auf Deutsch. Ich denke, dass an diesem Abend sehr viele Besucher kamen, um den Tatortkommissar zu erleben und zu hören. Und es lohnte sich! Völlig fehlerfrei und brilliant intonierend las Bär, der dann erläuterte, dass er sich Bilder der Figuren machen müsse, um daraus deren Stimme entstehen zu lassen. Hakan Nesser war derart angetan, dass er Bär vorschlug, schnell seine Sprache zu lernen, damit er seine Hörbücher auch auf Schwedisch aufnehmen könne! Bär konterte, er könne nur ein Wort auf Schwedisch und dabei bliebe es auch: „IKEA“.
Natürlich wurde Nesser, der perfektes britisches Englisch spricht (und ebendiesen feinen und subtilen Humor hat), gefragt, warum er die Kultfigur Van Veeteren aufgab und was an Barbarotti anders sei. Entscheidend sei das Alter gewesen, antwortete er, VV war 10 Jahre älter als er selbst, Barbarotti 10 Jahre jünger und damit weitaus besser zu steuern und zu kontrollieren.
Relativ unkontrolliert ging der Abend am Signiertisch zu Ende. Britisch war die Schlange nicht, die sich vor Nesser und Bär aufstaute. Die beiden nahmens allerdings mit stoischer Ruhe und Gelassenheit und so ging ein wunderschöner Abend und ein großartiges Literaturfestival zu Ende. Ciao!
