Ich durfte zu einer für mich ganz besonderen Veranstaltung gehen, nämlich zur Lesung von Carlos Ruiz Zafón. Er ist einer meiner absoluten Lieblingsautoren und dementsprechend gefreut habe ich mich auf diesen Abend.
Das ganze fand auf dem Literaturschiff, was in der Kölner Altstadt direkt an der Deutzer Brücke ankert, statt. Eine perfekte Location für eine super Veranstaltung kann ich nur sagen. Nach einer kurzen Begrüßung kamen die drei Hauptpersonen unter Applaus auf die Lit.COLOGNE-Bühne. Zum einen Ruiz Zafóns Dolmetscherin, denn er kann kein Deutsch, zum anderen ein Schauspieler der die deutschen Textpassagen vorlesen wird und natürlich der Autor, Carlos Ruiz Zafón, höchstpersönlich.
Nach einer Kurzbiographie Ruiz Zafóns startete der erste Leseblock. Ruiz Zafón las die Textpassagen auf spanisch, welche darauffolgend auf deutsch vorgetragen wurde. Danach beantwortete der Autor Fragen zu verschiedenen Bereichen seines Lebens. Es folgten weitere Ausschnitte aus “Der Fürst des Nebels” und “Das Spiel der Engel“. Ruiz Zafón präsentierte sich als intelligenter, sympathischer Typ, der eine Vorliebe für düstere Geschichten hat.
Auf die Frage nach der Zukunft der Literatur meinte er nur trocken: “Solange es denkende Menschen gibt, solange gibt es Literatur. Doch wie lange gibt es die denkenden Menschen noch?” Ein gelungener Abschlusssatz, für eine gelungene Lesung.
Wer wollte, konnte sich im Anschluss seine Bücher noch signieren lassen, was ich natürlich sofort gemacht habe.
