…denn es geht weiter, das Fest der Bücher und Autoren und Schauspielern und Musikern und Zuhörern und sie strahlt über Köln!
Was haben Simon Beckett, Camille de Peretti, Roger Willemsen, Thomas Glavinic, Colson Whitehead und Jussi Adler-Olsen gemeinsam?? Ein Gespräch mit mir über ihre Bücher, die litCOLOGNE und was uns sonst so einfällt.
Da ist Colson Whitehead, der mir mit verschmitztem Lächeln unter anderem erzählt, dass er diese Highschool-Serien der 80er gruselig fand – und mir damit noch sympathischer wird!
Und dann erst Jussi Adler-Olsen, der mir schon beim Betreten des Raums jegliche Aufregung nimmt, ungezwungen ins Gespräch einsteigt und unglaublich schlau und unterhaltsam erzählt, wie die Geschichten um Carl, Assad und Rose in seinem Kopf Gestalt annehmen oder wie viel Wert er darauf legt, seinen Lesern eine spannende Lektüre zu bieten. Er ist ein beeindruckender Gesprächspartner, mit dem ich noch stundenlang weiterreden könnte.
Kurz darauf betritt er den Raum, der langjährige Fan und Begleiter der lit.COLOGNE und großer Sprachkünstler: Roger Willemsen.
Dass man mit ihm über schöne Halsketten genauso angeregt reden kann wie über die Enden der Welt oder erinnernswerte Sätze, ist großartig! Dabei sprüht er vor Begeisterung und zitiert zum Abschied Wolf Wondratschek „Stumm verstauben die Büffel“ – wundervoll, wenngleich dies heute mal nicht gilt.
Mittagspause und eine Fahrt nach Nippes, wo Thomas Glavinic in seinem dicht gepackten Terminplan Zeit für ein Gespräch findet. Wir unterhalten uns über Geister, die wir rufen oder auch nicht, über politisch inkorrektes Fabulieren im Internet oder über Unsicherheiten, die Angst machen, weil wir sie nicht greifen können. Und dabei sitzen wir im Garten der Kulturkirche, es ist noch ein bisschen frisch, aber dafür lacht die Frühlingssonne über uns. Ein großes Vergnügen!
Die Kamera wieder in den Kofferraum und ab zurück in die Interviewsuite im Hotel, denn Camille de Peretti wird uns besuchen. Eine unglaublich charmante junge französische Autorin, die einen klugen und sehr menschlichen Roman über das Alter geschrieben hat, der nichts auslässt – nicht seine weniger schönen und erst recht nicht die schönen Seiten. Krankheiten, Boshaftigkeit, Leidenschaft und die Liebe – alles ist dabei, wie das so ist im Leben. Und wie sie da sitzt und erzählt, strahlt sie und erhellt den Raum mit ihrem Charme.
Nach ihr kommt Simon Beckett vorbei, der Meister der Leichen und Verwesungen. Ruhig und besonnen lächelnd betritt der Gentleman den Raum, beobachtet sehr genau, wachsam. Doch als er beginnt zu reden, hüpft der Schalk das ein oder andere Mal aus seinem Nacken hervor, denn der Herr gebührt zu scherzen – mit trocken britischem Humor, subtil und pointiert – grandios!
Abends dann die Lesung mit Helmut Krausser, der als Ein-Mann-Show mit wütend fesselnder Intensität das Blut seiner Figuren in Wallung bringt und sie zum Leben erweckt, bis er ganz hinter ihnen verschwindet. Figuren, die sich mit sehnsüchtiger Arroganz selbst Antworten geben auf den eisig kalten Krieg ihres Lebens, bis ihr Vertrauen schwindet. Ein kantiger Autor mit nicht leicht verdaulicher Kost – aber ein ganz großer Literat.
Bei Kölsch, Begegnungen und Gesprächen klingt ein weiteres Kapitel dieses Literaturfestivals aus. Auch dieses wird nachklingen – lange!
