Die Spezialausgabe der lit.COLOGNE war eine Premiere. Zum ersten Mal lud die lit.COLOGNE – mitten im Herbst! – Literaturliebhaber und Buchbegeisterte nach Köln ein. Wir von Thalia freuen uns, dass wir mit unseren Buchhändlerreportern vor Ort und zahlreichen Büchertischen in unseren Buchhandlungen dabei sein konnten. Während in Frankfurt die Buchmesse tobte, wurde im nicht allzu weit entfernten Köln begeistert gelesen: Arnaldur Indridason, Krimi-Schriftsteller aus dem diesjährigen Buchmesse-Gastland Island, kam zu seiner einzigen Lesung in Deutschland nach Köln. Umberto Eco, Hellmuth Karasek, Charlotte Roche und Hannelore Elsner – um nur einige der Autoren zu nennen – füllten die fast immer ausverkauften Säle in der Kölner Oper, dem WDR-Sendehaus oder im sehr idyllisch am Rhein gelegenen Theater am Tanzbrunnen.
Hier im Skizzenbuch berichteten unsere Buchhändlerreporter von ihren Eindrücken. Im Gespräch verrieten Hellmuth Karasek und Eckhardt von Hirschhausen, wie Humor unsere Kultur prägt. Zahlreiche Fotos der Veranstaltungen vermittelten die besondere Atmosphäre, die – wie bei der „großen“ lit.COLOGNE – auch bei der „kleinen Schwester“ zu spüren war.
Wir laden Sie ein, mit uns in Erinnerungen zu schwelgen und hier im Skizzenbuch das lit.COLOGNE Spezial Revue passieren zu lassen. Gleichzeitig dürfen wir uns auf den kommenden März freuen, wenn das internationale Literaturfest lit.COLOGNE zum zwölften Mal nach Köln einlädt. Dann werden sich hochkarätige Autoren wie Buchpreisgewinner Eugen Ruge, Nobelpreisträger Tomas Tranströmer und viele, viele andere ganz der vielleicht schönsten aller Künste, der Literatur, widmen!
